Transformers Metalforce Collection Optimus Prime MFC-01

The Transformers Metalforce Collection G-1 Optimus Prime MFC-01 is a 12″ tall vinyl figure produced by Time House in 1999 under license from Takara. This figure looks exactly like Optimus Prime from the Generation 1 TV Series and even features his Energy Axe as seen in More Than Meets The Eye. The neck, shoulders, biceps, knees and hands can rotate and the chest compartment can be opened to access a removable Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Also includes an alternate hand that allows Optimus to hold his rifle once assembled.

BotCon Japan 1997 SHBM Galvatron: Lava Bath Edition

The Transformers SHBM (Super Hybrid Model) were large vinyl figures with limited articulation designed by MC Axis in the 80s but unfortunately never saw mass distribution. Almost a decade later, 2 versions of the SHBM Galvatron were produced as exclusives for BotCon Japan 1997; a fully painted version, in addition to, a translucent ‘Lava Bath Edition’ variant. Only 100 of the ‘Lava Bath Edition’ were produced and sold exclusively at the event.

The SHBM (Super Hybrid Model) Galvatron vinyl figure was originally readied for production by MC Axis back in 1987 alongside similarly-styled Rodimus and Arcee figures. While the 3 SHBM figures never saw mass distribution in the 80s, Galvatron was later released as an exclusive for BotCon Japan 1997 in two flavors; fully painted and a translucent ‘Lava Bath’ version. This ‘Mail-In Anime Version’ variant of the painted SHBM Galvatron was only available for special order online after BotCon Japan 1997 took place.

Beast Wars Release Redone

What a fantastic surprise today ~ Beast Wars II is now available with English subs and can be downloaded immediately. THE ENTIRE SERIES. I never thought I’d ever get to see this series in is entirety and am super stoked about that, but wow Karyuudo Fansubs has really gone above and beyond on this one. The quality is fantastic and super bonus points for all of the thoughtful organization and extra goodies in the package as well. It’s obvious a  lot of love went into this project ~ there are some really awesome treats here for anyone ever interested in Beast Wars II. Very super large thanks to Karyuudo Fansubs for this amazing gift.

Sonokong Korean Beast Wars II Catalog

This is the toy catalog included with the 1998 Sonokong Beast Wars II figures. Sonokong was an officially licensed manufacturer of Takara Beast Wars II figures for the Korean market. While the Sonokong figures themselves were practically indistinguishable from their Japan counterparts; the packaging, instructions and inserts were redesigned for the Korean market.
